Dent is situated on the Dales Way and within the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

There are many and varied walks from the front door of the cottage - suitable for all ages and all abilities - from afternoon walks and shorter strolls along the River Dee on the Dales Way, to walks under Combe Scar where the Peregrine Falcons nest, to full day excursions to peaks over 2000 feet.

There are many and varied walks in the stunning Howgill Fells only 15-20 minutes drive away.

Dent is also within 30 minutes drive of many routes up the 3 peaks - Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent.
